So, we started off Fuller Family 4th of July 2009 making breakfast. I wanted Blueberry Pancakes and Jon was going to make them... He was mixing the batter and asked me what the little black specs were? BUGS in the batter = no good! No Blueberry Pancakes for breakfast, Booo :-( Then, I remembered a mix my Grandma gave me awhile ago that was out in the fridge in the garage. We hadn't tried it yet and decided to give it a whirl... Not great, but I got my Pancakes!
Sawyer went down for a nap and I started going through all of his baby stuff to decide what things I'd like to keep out for Little Lady Fuller. Then, I went through all of the clothes we've gotten from Steven and April that Audrey's grown out of and some of the things I've bought as well... My whole bed was covered with piles of clothing, literally mounds of clothes covering every inch of it! We are SO set for clothes until this Girly is about 2 :-) I meant to take a picture, but I forgot before I packed everything back up (according to size).
Next, we were off to the Taste of Minnesota. The weather was looking pretty grim over St. Paul, but we continued on. Pretty much the minute we found a parking space a torrential downpour began. So, these are pictures of us at the Taste...
We sat in the car for about a half hour waiting for the rain to stop, watched the drenched people running to their cars (entertaining), and then decided to leave. No cheese curds for us, Boooo :-(
We came back home. I made a pasta salad to take with us to Sarah and Mel's for a family/friend gathering later in the evening. I made Root Beer Floats, which were nummy (to make up for missing cheese curds)! I organized a bit more. Then, it was off to Sarah and Mel's. Sawyer was very happy to finally be outside and playing with Daddy and cousins Audrey and Sonja!
Sonja, Jon and Sawyer.
Audrey. (She won't let me take pictures of her... So, I got her by surprise here and it's a cute one!)
Jon always has the most entertaining way to occupy the kiddo's!
And then, of course, the kiddo's have to copy him :-)
Sawyer did SO good for the Fireworks! He was a little jumpy of the loud noises at first, but once everyone started saying "YEEAAA!" and clapping, he was clapping with us!
Not for long though... For a little guy who goes to bed about 8-ish, he made it until about 9:30 and then conked out on mommy's shoulder. SO sweet :-)
All in all, it was a great 4th! Happy Independence Day to all and to all a Good Night!
