36 Weeks with Little Lady Fuller

Other possible Title's for this post:

"Must NOT expose my armpit fat. Will keep hands on Hips."

"Uuuuugggghhhhhh!"

"Exhausted. Stressed. Scared. Exhausted."

"Oh Baby, how I love you and can't wait to meet you!"

"Today was Tough..."

I was SO excited for it to be September. On the 1st I woke up and my first thought was "AAahh, September! It's baby month!" Then, about 10 minutes later it dawned on me "HOLY SCHMOLEY, IT'S SEPTEMBER! The baby could come any day now!!! We don't have diapers! I have nothing for her to wear while we're at the hospital. No cute outfit to bring her home in... Who is going to stay with Sawyer if he isn't able to be in the delivery room with us (which I already know will be a struggle for him)? We don't have an infant car seat. The hospital won't let us leave without a car seat! Where's the bassinet? Where are the sheets for the bassinet? IT'S SEPTEMBER!!!"

I am actually 36 weeks and 3 days as of today. I wanted to wait to make this post until I had my doctor appointment this morning so I could share the most up-to-date information with you all. Here are my stats:

Weight: 155 lbs. (the heaviest I have EVER been. I was 154 when I got to the hospital to deliver Sawyer)

Total Weight Gain: 21 lbs.

Uterus: 35cm - This is GREAT :-) I should be about 36cm based on weeks preggers!

All of this is good. I'm getting fatter and my Uterus growth is on track!

Now, things get tricky... I also had a Growth UltraSound today. Since my uterus measurement has been short in the last few appointments, an UltraSound has been necessary to check on Nugget and how things are going in her liquid world. The UltraSound today revealed that Nugget is about 5 lbs. and based on her size the Technician guesses a due date of Oct. 3rd (Nugget has been measuring an Oct. 5th due date until today, so she is getting bigger!). This is not a surprise since I've been feeling like I'll carry her passed her due date, which is Sept. 29th...

The UltraSound also measures how much amniotic fluid surrounds Nugget. Normal levels of amniotic fluid are considered to be between 5 and 25 cm. At my appointment last month there was minor concern because I was measuring 9... Today's appointment had me at 6. YIKES! This is NOT good news...

Too little amniotic fluid is not good for the baby... So, I will have a Non-stress Test, and a Growth UltraSound at all of my appointments until Nugget is ready to come out. If my amniotic fluid levels drop below 5 the Dr. will want to induce me.

So, of course I came home and googled all of this to check things out for myself... And, now I'm more freaked out than ever! Everything with Sawyer was SO perfect and now this?! I'm a little scared...

I will keep you all updated on a weekly basis now instead of monthly. Please pray for me and Little Lady Fuller! (Mommy needs some comfort!)

For some reason I can't get these two links to attach right...

Now, to end with something happy. Nugget started getting the hiccups! They started a few days ago, late at night, and she has had them every night since :-)

To You, Little Lady Fuller...

I made a blankie for my little girl this weekend! It is the first baby thing I have ever made and I am quite proud of myself :-) I would love to be great at sewing and being able to make things for my kiddos. This is a good start!

This side is soft, snuggle flannel. It's kind of hard to tell, but it is lime green and white striped.

Then, this side is cotton multi-colored owls. The whole blankie is edged with Picots in a purple flower design.

I made the blankie with lots of help from my sister-in-law April. The women in her family have been making blankie's like this one for generations.

We started off tacking down the Striped side to boards (similar to quilting). Then added a layer of batting for fluff. Topping it with the Owls and then tying all three layers together.

We cut the Picots into squares, folded them into the points, pined them and then sewed them all together in a line.

Then, we sewed the Picots onto the Owl side of the blanket. Folded the Striped side over to match up with the Owls and pined it down. Finally, sewing everything together.

It took 8 hours total on Saturday afternoon to complete the blankie from start to finish... Without April and her mom Jen's help, it would have taken me twice as long!

Here are more pictures of the blankie and little things I have been picking up for Little Lady Fuller.

To you, Little Lady Fuller... With SO MUCH LOVE from your Mommy!

Our Version of a Sunday Funday

Our version of a Sunday Funday Fuller family style.

Sawyer wakes up at 6am... Yeap, 6am. Jon gets out of bed so I can sleep in for a bit. Thank you :-) They have breakfast. I wake up around 8, make coffee and have my own breakfast. I marinate the steaks I'm planning on Jon grilling later for dinner. Sawyer plays with his toys and makes a mess of our living room. Sawyer wonders around wearing Daddy's hat. At 10:30 Sawyer takes a nap. Daddy also naps. I peek in on Sawyer because he is hardly ever still enough for me to just look at. He is getting SO big. I pick up Sawyer's toys, dust and wipe down Sawyer's toys with Clorox Wipes. Then, I read some of my book.

Sawyer wakes up from his nap around 12:30. Daddy wakes up from his nap. We make lunch. Sawyer and Daddy play making a mess of all the toys again. I eat a bowl of ice cream! I take a nap.

When I wake up, Sawyer and Daddy go play at the park and I read more of my book. Sawyer and Daddy get home and fire up the grill. We have nummy steak, twice baked potato's and steamed broccoli for dinner. Daddy gives Sawyer a much needed bath. I do the dishes and clean up the kitchen. Daddy gets Sawyer in his PJ's and we all watch Planet Earth on the Discovery Channel.

At 8pm it's time for Sawyer to give hugs and kisses and for Daddy to put him to sleep. Hugs and kisses included Little Lady Fuller too. After books, a couple songs and prayers, Sawyer is out after another fun day!

Daddy watches UFC fighting while I blog. Soon we will be going to bed too!

It was a lovely day!

Draggin' Jon Out with the Girls

My friend Becky was in town from Utah again this week for her brother's wedding. On Friday night, Sawyer stayed at G'Ma and Papa's house (my parents) and we met Becky and Kristie at a bar in Minneapolis. It felt nice get dressed up a bit and get out of the house!

Kristie & Becky

When Jon and I got home and were looking at the pictures I told him I didn't like them because I look tired. Jon said that was understandable since it was after 9 o'clock and I'm 8 and a half months pregnant... Thanks babe! HaHa! Even though he is totally right, the correct answer would have been something like "No baby, you look beautiful, gorgeous, and sexy. You're the most beautiful women in the WORLD!" :-)

Giving Nugget some love. The look on my face sums up my feelings of this pregnancy! UUuggg, lets just meet you already Little Lady Fuller!

Much, much cuter!

(P/S - Jon did tell me I looked beautiful earlier in the evening. I'm just giving him a hard time!)

32 Weeks with Little Lady Fuller

Calling this Lady "Little" has turned out to be very true... The statistics go that the Uterus should grow and measure in centimeters what you are in weeks for your pregnancy. So, 32 weeks pregnant would equal 32cm... Well, I've been measuring small for my Uterian (is that a word?) growth. At my 30 week appointment I measured 28cm. Today's stats are 32 weeks, 3 days pregnant and 27cm... How'd my Uterus shrink??!! Also, I gained 3 pounds in 2 weeks, making my total weight gain 16lbs so far... I got fatter and my Uterus shrunk! I don't get it?...

The upside to being "little" is that you get to have more Ultra-Sounds. Usually you only get 1 or 2, the last one being around 20 weeks for anatomy where the baby is looked at to make sure all it's parts are growing properly and the sex can be determined (if you want to know). So, I got to see our little Lady again today! She is still a lady :-) Has 10 finger and toes and she even has hair! Everything checked out OK, she is just "little". I'll have another Ultra-Sound again in a few weeks to make sure that she is still growing properly.

Now, the downside of being "little" is that I am most likely going to be late... Not good news for a lady who is so over being pregnant!!! Of course this is just my guess, my due date hasn't been changed and probably won't be... I am just feeling really tired of being pregnant. I feel like I've been pregnant FOREVER and I am anxious to start this next chapter of parenthood with two kiddos! Plus, I don't feel little, I feel HUGE! And, super uncomfortable all the time... I can't imagine what I'd be feeling like if I was spot on for where I'm supposed to be...

There's just so much pressure to not gain too much weight. But, then you're not gaining enough, or your Uterus is too small... So many things to think about and worry over on top of everything else in life... Yeap, I'm just ready for it all to be over with. Bring on the madness of two kids under 2, not showering for days, boob leakage, not getting more than 2 hours of sleep at a time. At least all that is manageable, for the most part it's under my control. I can't control my Uterian growth...

I'm having Braxton Hicks (practice contractions) like crazy! I never had these with Sawyer, at least that I was aware of, and it is interesting. It's like a little glimpse of the pain that is to come. Thank you Lord for these "little" practices. Nugget is also a kicker and puncher. She's jammin' out in my tummy all the time now. It's uncomfortable, but not painful and I actually kind of like it. I like knowing she's moving around in there, having a little baby party!

Hhmmm, what else? Did I mention I'm "little"? HaHa!

I feel I should say something positive as well. I really like my hair, it's super shiny :-) Thank you pregnancy for that!

28 Weeks with Little Lady Fuller

Well, it is week 28 for me and Little Lady Fuller. I feel like I've been pregnant FOREVER! For some reason, last month seemed to go by vvveeeeerrrrrryyyyy ssssllllloooooowwwwwwllllyyyyy... I am happy it is the 2nd week of July already :-)

Nugget has been moving around a lot more. I am carrying her differently then I did with Sawyer because I can feel her in different places. For instance, she enjoys bouncing on mommy's bladder repetitively. Sawyer was a nice little boy and stayed away from that. Maybe this is her way of letting me know she is going to be trouble!

I have hit the nesting stage as well. I want to paint, make blankets and clothes, put stuff up on the walls, clean, clean, clean, organize and basically get everything ready for Nugget to get here! I'm SO excited to see her, hold her and get to know her. With Sawyer, I've learned that babies little personalities show up so early and I'm looking forward to seeing how much his sister varies from him!

24 Weeks with Little Lady Fuller

Three and a half months left and things are going good! I'm getting close to the end of my Second Trimester and I don't feel like I've gotten much bigger since a month ago... I popped out sooner with Lady Fuller then I did with Sawyer, that's for sure! And I can tell a difference in my weight gain since I'm having a girl this time... With Sawyer I gained weight just in my belly and it seemed like the rest of me (arms, legs, tushie) got smaller. Lady Fuller is causing me to gain weight all around (arms, legs, and TUSHIE!)and I've gained the weight a lot sooner!

Jon and I are still looking for the right name... Nothing has really grabbed us yet... If anyone has a fabulous name idea up their sleeve, please feel free to share! For now, our Nugget will continue to be Little Lady Fuller :-)

Nugget = Little LADY Fuller (20 Weeks)

We are having a baby girl! How sweet is that? :-} Jon, Sawyer (even though he doesn't know it yet...) & I are very, very excited!!! Everything in the Ultra-Sound looked great, we have a healthy Nugget!

Here's some shots of me and my growing tummy. I'm half way through!

I'm not sure how I feel about Nugget as a Nickname for the baby now that we know she is a girl... I may have to change it... Also, now we get to really start picking out names!!! SO FUN :-}
