I haven't been online much the last several days. Why? Because there are bad people out there who create bad computer viruses and I caught one. BIG bummer... Roughly $300 later, my computer is back up and running again. Too bad that money would have been much better spent on my sons 2nd birthday party (which is coming up in 3 weeks! YIKES!). But, I could NOT be without my computer! My computer helps me maintain my sanity :-)
Before this unfortunate incident happened, I had a very happy shopping moment. Money is tight right now and buying things for the house hasn't been high on the list. However, we really needed a curtain between our kitchen and bathroom. (There is no door there at all and it has been covered with plastic all winter. Classy.) I've been keeping an eye out for just the right thing because curtains can be expensive...
Well, I found this at World Market...
It matches perfectly! And, I LOVE the pattern and colors. So great!
So, even though it has been a rough week and I have no idea how we're going to pull off the birthday party I want to have for Sawyer, I'm pretty darn happy about our kitchen curtain!

Piper's Perch
As you probably know, we live in a little house. We also have a Pittbull and a cat. Our home really isn't big enough for all four humans and two animals (plus all the OTHER "animals"...). So, finally I had had it up to here (you know what I mean) with having the pets indoors and they got booted outside. Good thing we live in Texas and it is warm here. Our dog, Texas, has a nice fenced in area where he plays and a shed to sleep in. Our cat, Piper, on the other hand had no nice place to play/sleep. She roomed around the yard and under the house... Poor Kitty!
So, crafty Jon built Piper a perch off of our kitchen window. He got her travel carrier out of storage, added blankets for her comfort and put a garbage bag around it to keep the rain out (he's such a thinker!).
She hasn't moved from her perch in 3 days!

The Snow Has Come and Almost Gone
We had a record snowfall here a few days ago.
THIS video shows how things looked around here 5 days ago.
THIS is how things looked four days ago.
Three days ago...
And now it's almost gone...
Sure was fun while it lasted!

Funny...
Figures yesterday I would post about having no snow here in Texas and then this morning wake up to this...

Sawyer Runs Around Outside with No Snow
I love to watch Sawyer run. It's hilarious how he picks his feet up so high, almost prancing like... Here's a video of him going to the mailbox with me this morning.
And, just so all you Texans know what Minnesota looks like, here's some pictures of my parents house yesterday. Sawyer would not be able to just step out of the house and run to the mailbox up there!

Our Texas Home (Part I)
I did not do a good job of getting before pictures of the home we have moved into... I really wish I would have gotten pictures before we filled the place with our stuff and started working on everything. Oh well...
We are living in a little one-bedroom house on Jon's parent's property. The first three weeks here have been spent separating our stuff into three categories.
1 - things we need to have on hand.
2 - things we want but don't need to have on hand and can go to storage.
3 - things we don't need and can go to Goodwill/the Dump.
Finally, this past Saturday we got all the boxes of storage and Goodwill stuff out of the house! It is so nice to have all that stuff gone :-)
Also, we have painted the Living Room, Kitchen, Bathroom and Bedroom. We pulled up the carpet in the Living Room. And the last project to complete is tiling the Bathroom, which Jon will hopefully complete this week!
Here are some pictures of the different stages we've gone through in the house already.
Stage 1 - Moved all of our stuff into our little house, but we were still staying inside the main house with Jon's parent's. Originally the walls in the Living Room were dark wood paneling which you can still kind of see behind the primer. Ronda came over and got the first round of primer done for us (which was really sweet of her!).
The Front Door and closet in the Living Room.
Living Room. You can see the carpet that we ended up pulling up.
Gas heater in the Living Room with the Kitchen sink in the background (which you can't really see, I think there is a garbage bag of stuff in it...).
The Kitchen.
The Bedroom.
The Bathroom.
Stage 2 - These are of the Bedroom and how it looked for a couple weeks while we were sorting through everything. The walls have been painted a light green. Each kiddo has a corner with our bed off to one side. Can you spot Piper in all the mess? :-)
Stage 3 - Jon is cooking in our painted Kitchen. The Living Room is also the same yellow color. Our stove is old! It's gas and we have to light it with a match. I am not quite sure how the oven works or if I will ever really try to use it... Maybe someday if I'm feeling brave! But, the stove works great :-)
Stage 4 - This how our Bedroom looks now! Much, much better! Eventually, I'd like to have curtains for the window and shelves for the wall, but that will come with time.
More pictures of the Outside of the house, Living Room, Kitchen and Bathroom to come!

Hello Blog! I've been away for a little while...
Well my friends, The Fuller Family has been busy, busy, busy this past month! So, I haven't been able to blog :-( This Post focuses on random things around the house. As I'm sure you are all anxiously waiting for news and new pics of Sawyer, I will be posting updates about him throughout the rest of the week!
Our cat, Piper, hasn't gotten any face time on the blog yet, so HERE SHE IS!
Jon has furnished a lot of our house with items he's spotted for FREE on the side of the road (the rest is hand-me-downs from family and friends - Thank You!). Since he drives a Pick-Up Truck, it's easy for him to swoop around and snag things up. This is the latest addition to our Living Room. A wonderful Recliner, which Piper really likes!
Now this may seem weird to some of you, but I always find myself wondering what my friends and families homes look like when they've moved and I haven't been able to visit yet... So, the following are pictures of our home. I'm sure at some point in time I'll take pictures of the rest of the rooms, but for now these are the ones I like the best!
Here is our Kitchen. The Orange cabinet is one of Jon's finds!
Yes, that is a Hello Kitty Waffle Iron in the bottom right corner. A Christmas gift Jon won in our gift exchange last year :-} Sadly, it has yet to be used...
Our Living Room. You can see where Sawyer's little play area is. Most of the pictures posted of him on this blog have been taken here.
Now, Sawyer's room. I'm a bit of a Lame-Mommy and haven't put anything up on the walls yet. (I haven't in the rest of the house either) I'm not sure why that is. Probably because I know I'll change my mind on whether I like it or not in a month, so I just leave things bare. Boring, I know. However, I do like the theme I'm working with here, so I just need to keep adding to it!
See the Texas Longhorn? Jon's friend Casey gave that to him the night Jon met his friends out to celebrate Sawyers birth. Sawyer will love that one day!
This here is probably my favorite item Jon has brought home. The green dresser! (Picked up with the orange cabinet mentioned above) All of Sawyer's little clothes and toys fit in here so nicely, and it's different than most dressers!
More posts to follow soon I promise!
