Como Zoo

On Saturday we went to the Como Zoo, our third trip there this year. It was a beautiful day and the place was packed! The other two times we've gone were pretty early this spring/summer and there weren't many animals out and about... This time there was a lot going on!

Sawyer liked the Mist Zone!

We are still working on "hold mommy/daddy's hand"...

Most of the time though, Sawyer wants to run!

This poor Ostrich looked a bit scraggly... (It is nice to see these animals that you wouldn't normally see, but sometimes I feel a bit sorry for them...)

Sawyer still prefers people watching to actually checking out the animals!

Hydrate!

Checking out the ducks and Flamingos. If this was video, you'd hear Sawyer saying "Ooooo! Quah, quah!" for quack, quack.

Home is still where his favorite animal of all time is! Texas is such a good puppy!

24 Weeks with Little Lady Fuller

Three and a half months left and things are going good! I'm getting close to the end of my Second Trimester and I don't feel like I've gotten much bigger since a month ago... I popped out sooner with Lady Fuller then I did with Sawyer, that's for sure! And I can tell a difference in my weight gain since I'm having a girl this time... With Sawyer I gained weight just in my belly and it seemed like the rest of me (arms, legs, tushie) got smaller. Lady Fuller is causing me to gain weight all around (arms, legs, and TUSHIE!)and I've gained the weight a lot sooner!

Jon and I are still looking for the right name... Nothing has really grabbed us yet... If anyone has a fabulous name idea up their sleeve, please feel free to share! For now, our Nugget will continue to be Little Lady Fuller :-)

Stuck Inside in June

Well, the weather we have here in MN is not June-like at all! This is awful!!! It has been rainy and chilly for about 5 days straight... I know I'm getting tired of it. And poor Sawyer, he has to been even more bored than I am (and Texas too)! AAaaarrrggg... I'm so ready for summer to be here and to stay =) So, anyway, we've been stuck inside playing in our little, messy living space. At least I have Sawyer to brighten my day!

When I'm at the computer (blogging, facebook, email, on-line wish shopping - all great things to do on rainy, ichy days when you don't feel like cleaning or doing laundry...) Sawyer constantly wants to sit in my lap. He points at the pictures of himself and says "Baby", pictures of Jon and says "Daddy, Hi" while waving, and sometimes he'll see a puppy and say "Woooo, Wooooo" (as in woof, woof)! So cute! Then, when I get up from the chair, Sawyer will race over, climb into the seat by himself and he thinks it is the best thing ever!

The only truly suitable doll for a boy is a Glow Worm, who we just call Worm in our house. Sawyer got Worm for Christmas and he hasn't paid much attention to him until recently... Now, he has figured out how to push the button that makes Worm glow and play music. Often, when I go to get him out of his crib, he is holding Worm and rocking to the tunes while crying for someone to come and pick him up. Silly guy!

Then we have kisses and cuddle until he is ready to start playing again!

Mommy and Daddy Time

Jon and I had TWO date nights this week!!! WOW - That never happens!!! On Tuesday night we went to a Twins game with a group of friends. Good game, lasted a bit long, but it was nice to be out and about with friends :-}

Last night we went to a CD Release party for a local musician Nicholas "The Feelin'" Mrozinski (who I graduated from High School with). It was a great show and also really nice to see some people I haven't seen in years!

Here's some pics of our group that went to the show together... I look the same in all three of the following pics. However, everyone else was goofing off and we didn't manage to get a cute one of all four of us! HaHa - Too FUN!
(Rob, Kristie, Me and Jon)

Jon got a massage.

Kristie and me - a good one!

Emily and me :-}

Just GOOFY!!!

My baby and me ~MUAH~

It was a good night!

Playing at Cousin Micah's Baseball game

We went to Micah's baseball game this week. For most of the game, Jon and I followed Sawyer around as he likes to wonder and not stay in one place!

Jon wears this hat at work to keep the sun off of his face... Very cute!

Even cuter, Sawyer nabbed Daddy's hat and ran around with it on his head for awhile!

The Fans: Jon & Sawyer, Great Grandma Val (we call her G'G'), Great Grandpa John, and Micah's Grandpa Greg.

!BONK!

Sawyer is in a head-butting stage. He thinks it is funny to bonk his head off of things and for the most part has managed to aim for soft objects... His aim was a bit off the other day though and he bonked his head on the bed frame. Luckily, he didn't bust it open, but he has quite the goose egg smack in the middle of his eyes!
